Since the title of this blog is LABQUIP'S PRODUCT NEWS, I guess I must start giving out some news from our company.

Recently, we took a distributorship from Cardionics, USA which mainly design and manufacture electronic stethoscopes, medical simulators and manikins for teaching auscultation, bedside teaching instrumentation, self-teaching systems and auscultation instrumentation for Telemedicine.

As some of you might know, Labquip specialises in Teaching Sciences and with the recent development and high demand on products from medical field, Labquip had decided to market this product.

SAM or Student Auscultation Manikin is a product of CARDIONICS-USA, and is being used globally in Departments of nursing, medicine and physiology. With the help of SAM you can gain your experience in the following areas.

1. Teach and learn from 22 heart sound and murmur programs.


2. Teach and learn from 20 lung sound programs.


3. Teach and learn from 17 bowel sound programs.


4. Teach and learn from 4 bruit sound programs.


5. Teach and learn by feeling a carotid pulse.

SAM, the Student Auscultation Manikin, will provide a means for the instructor to teach cardiac and pulmonary auscultation to students at any level. The students can be taught as a group using the optional SimulScope or Classroom Infrared Emitter. Later the students can practice on SAM using their own stethoscope.

Since Cardionics is a medical product, hence the doctor joke.

Bubba's sister is pregnant and is in a bad car accident, which caused her to
fall into a deep coma. After nearly six months, she awakens and sees that
she is no longer pregnant.
Frantically, she asks the doctor about her baby. The doctor replies, "Ma'am, you had twins -- a boy and a girl. The babies are fine.
Your brother came in and named them."
The woman thinks to herself, "Oh, no! Not Bubba; he's an idiot!"
Expecting the worst, she asks the doctor, "Well, what's the girl's name?"
"Denise," the doctor answers.
The new mother thinks, "Wow! That's a beautiful name! I guess I was wrong about my brother. I really like the name Denise."
Then she asks the doctor, "What's the boy's name?"
The doctor replies,
"Denephew."
